Whale Non Return Valve - White, 1/2 Inch

The Whale FV1227 is a plastic non‑return / check valve designed to allow water to flow in one direction only, preventing back‑flow.

It’s typically used in water supply lines in caravans, motorhomes, boats, and campervans, especially where electric pumps are fitted.

Size / Hose Compatibility: Fits ½‑inch (13 mm) flexible hose.

Material: Made from durable plastic.

Length / Dimensions: Approximately 41 mm in body length (about 1‑7/8 inch). The outer diameter of the hose tail is about 14 mm (≈ 9/16 in).

Design:

• “Low restriction” flow design, meaning it aims to minimise resistance so the pump doesn’t have too much extra load. 

• Includes a small drip return (i.e. a very small amount of water may return / drip back when the flow is off) because of the minimal restriction design.

   

  Ideal Uses:

  • Mounted inline on the suction side of water pumps, to help the pump maintain prime. If the pump has weak valves or there’s some back‑pressure or leakage, a non‑return valve stops the water running back into the tank or hose. 

  • Can help prevent water siphoning or reverse flow which could otherwise lead to air in the system, loss of prime, or draining of hoses when parked or off‑use.
